In 1966 Wilhelm Webels started again modeling wood. First with knieves and carving gouges and shortly after with hummer and chissels. Even here W.W. came back to a form of artistic expression he already dealt with at the Folgwangschule and in the USA.From oak wood of demolished centuries-old half-timbered houses he created the figures that appeared in his imagination. From 1965 to 1972 the artist made about 70 sculpures.
Webels did not use machinery for his wooden creations and for his sculptures.All his sculptures are handmade using the tools shown above.
